The Eternal City (Part 2)

Hello, everyone!

Oh, I'm so late with blogging! We are back from Paris and I'm only now posting the second part of our trip to Rome in May. Besides the Paris pictures, I have some outfits to post, too, so be sure to stay tuned!

On the third day of our trip we visited St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican. It was too enormous to comprehend, much larger than I had thought it to be even though I did know it is huge. It's very grand and beautiful of course, but I must admit I think this church is almost tacky. There's just too much of everything. I liked Sagrada Familia's airy, elegant interior much more.

We also climbed hundreds of scary stairs in tiny, always narrower towers to the top of the Basilica. It was so distressing but also quite an experience! The view was nice, of course.

Unicorn!

After visiting the Vatican, we walked all the way through half of Rome to our hotel. It was awesome but feet-killing. Here's a view to Vatican from our way back.

We also saw Castle St. Angelo but didn't visit it.

On the fourth day we visited Palazzo Doria-Pamphilj. It was almost empty, and after the extremely crowded St. Peter's it was relaxing to wander the silent halls in peace. The Palazzo was pretty, but nothing compared to Versailles which we visited while we were in Paris.

We also popped into Pantheon and Piazza Navona (the last picture).

P.S. How many of you are going to the J-Fashion Fair at Gloria, Helsinki this weekend? I think I'll go, so if you happen to see me, come say hi! :)
