Afternoon Tea

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Today I met with my lovely friends to have afternoon tea. Our dress code was Innocent World, so everything in my outfit is from IW - except for shoes (vintage) and jewelry (Kalevala Jewelry).

This was my first time wearing this dress and I wanted to show it to you properly, so here's some close ups too! :3 I really like how Kalevala Jewelry's The Heart of The House necklace looks with lolita.

Tiia and I wore the same dress, only in different colour! Mimi said we really looked like sisters - I think so, too. Tiia's hairdo was to die for, she looked so adorable! ♥ (Tiia, can I adopt you as my second little sister? :D)

 Here's our whole gang (ecxept for Hanna who took the pic).

Today's was a wonderful day. It was so nice to see everyone and the weather was gorgeous! I love this kind of autumn weather - cool, clear, fresh and sunny. Autumn is my favourite season and I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Shiny New Things

Hello, each and everyone!

Lately I've been shopping quite a lot. I've been trying to update my everyday wardrobe towards more office friendly and less student like direction. Besides that, I've also started collecting My Little Ponies again.

1. A dress with a tulip pattern by Ivana Helsinki and seriously shiny necklaces by Kooky Gems. I'm planning to wear the cloud necklace to cheer up the rainy days. The bunny necklace doesn't need to happen for a reason - I love everything with bunnies on it, period. (There will certainly be pictures of the dress worn later!)

2. Lace collar dresses from Dorothy Perkins. These are super comfy to wear, and also cute. I really like the colours.

3. A blouse with lace details, sunglasses for me and my fiancé and a cute umbrella for autumn.

4. A flamingo bag charm. I don't even know why. It's crazy, funny and pink, I guess that's the reason. Right now this actually hangs on my ugly work laptop bag and makes it just a bit more tolerable, so it found its rightful place.

5. Ponies!

6. One more pony!

7. My souvenirs from Paris. I had told my fiancé that I'll buy all the Eiffel tower themed tourist crap there is and only bought these two, so everything went better than expected. No regrets either, I really like these.

8. More souvenirs from Paris. Ladurée Melangé and Marie Antoinette teas by Ladurée. The caddies are so adorable and they taste delicious. ♥

9. This phone case I got from my little sister.

The Colours of Autumn

Hello, lords and ladies!

This was my outfit to the J-fashion Fair. I found the inspiration from autumn which had just begun here in Helsinki. Autumn is my favourite season and I'm always very excited about it. I had a bad outfit crisis just before the event. Eventually I came up with this one and was very happy about it. I think this might be my favourite outfit of the ones I've worn recently.

{Dress - Jane Marple / blouse, roses - H&M, Ninja / jewelry - Kalevala Jewelry / bag - second hand}

The event was quite nice. Everything was well organized and there wasn't too much program, so there was plenty of time to chat with friends and shop, which was great.

I purchased this embroidered OP by Innocent World...

... and this gorgeous OP of black velvet and white lace by Fairy Wish. I'll show them to you more properly as soon as I get to wear them! I can't wait for that - I especially adore the Fairy Wish dress. *-*

I also bought shoes fit for Cinderella. They are so sparkly. ♥

And some ponies.

Charleston & Swing Night

Hello, everyone!

Here's an outfit I wore to Casino Helsinki's Charleston & Swing Night. I took some inspiration from the 1920's.

Mimi was kind enough to borrow me this awesome tiara. Sadly I didn't have time to do my hair as nicely as I'd hope to.

And one more casual look from the summer. I wore this to a picnic with my fiancé (and got photobombed by a curious mallard).

Not a bad place for picnic, eh?

Layered Look for Rococo Exhibition

Good evening, everyone!

So, as I promised, I'll now start posting some outfits I've worn during the last month or two, starting with the oldest. This was my look for the Sinebrychoff Art Museum's Rococo exhibition.

 I wanted to create a layered look and wore much more accessories than I usually do. I liked this outfit very much.

Closeups of the accessories. I was happy to notice that all of my Kalevala Jewelry's pieces go really nicely together even though not all of them are from the same series.

{Dress - Juliette & Justine / bolero - Baby, the Stars Shine Britght / jewelry - Kalevala Jewelry / shoes - vintage / roses - H&M}

 A bonus pic; a casual sweet lolita outfit I wore to tea with my friends Hanna and Kara. Sadly this is the only picture of it, so it doesn't quite deserve its own post.

The Eternal City (Part 2)

Hello, everyone!

Oh, I'm so late with blogging! We are back from Paris and I'm only now posting the second part of our trip to Rome in May. Besides the Paris pictures, I have some outfits to post, too, so be sure to stay tuned!

On the third day of our trip we visited St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican. It was too enormous to comprehend, much larger than I had thought it to be even though I did know it is huge. It's very grand and beautiful of course, but I must admit I think this church is almost tacky. There's just too much of everything. I liked Sagrada Familia's airy, elegant interior much more.

We also climbed hundreds of scary stairs in tiny, always narrower towers to the top of the Basilica. It was so distressing but also quite an experience! The view was nice, of course.

Unicorn!

After visiting the Vatican, we walked all the way through half of Rome to our hotel. It was awesome but feet-killing. Here's a view to Vatican from our way back.

We also saw Castle St. Angelo but didn't visit it.

On the fourth day we visited Palazzo Doria-Pamphilj. It was almost empty, and after the extremely crowded St. Peter's it was relaxing to wander the silent halls in peace. The Palazzo was pretty, but nothing compared to Versailles which we visited while we were in Paris.

We also popped into Pantheon and Piazza Navona (the last picture).

P.S. How many of you are going to the J-Fashion Fair at Gloria, Helsinki this weekend? I think I'll go, so if you happen to see me, come say hi! :)

Odessa's Birthday Party

Hi, everyone!

Last weekend I hosted a little birthday party for my bunny, Odessa, as she turned seven this July. It all started as a joke by my fiancé, but I fell in love with the idea and wanted to have the bunny birthday party for real. It was mainly a good excuse to wear a bunny themed outfit and meet with some dear friends - but it was also a chance for me to celebrate all the years I've had with Odessa so far. I can never know how many years Odessa still has left, so it's better to party while she's here. ♥ Naturally we gave Odessa some treats and petted her a lot. Chico also got his share of the attention.

{Dress, headbow - Innocent World / bolero, bunny bag - Baby, the Stars Shine Bright / shoes - Minna Parikka}

{Brooch - Emmi-Riikka Vartiainen / bracelet - selfmade / earrings - Charming Girls}

Mimi brought her bunnybear bag, too.

I made (among other treats) matcha & chocolate cookies for the party. They were delicious, and I'll certainly bake these again in the future. There are some minor things I want to improve, though - it was my first time trying out this recipe.

And here's our birthday girl (or should I say 'granny'?) watching over her minions on the game board.

Lavender & Black

Hello, everyone!

Me and my fiancé had a date on Monday, and I got to wore lolita after such a long time. My hair is completely over grown, so it was clearly time for a hat day.

{Dress - Innocent World / brooch - Emmi-Riikka Vartiainen / the rest - second hand, offbrand}

I really like this wooden bunny brooch and want to wear it all the time. Luckily it's quite neutral in colour, so it kinda matches with everything.

We found this necklace from a flea market. We think it's an older Kalevala jewelry piece.

After a lunch and the flea market we went to The Ounce, where we ran into some of my friends. Karakuri drew this cute picture of us. ♥

In the end, have a picture of Chico and Odessa, my two fluffbuts. ♥ We'll have him with us 'till Monday. It's nice to spend some time with him, and I'm planning to go for a long walk everyday - I just hope it doesn't rain too much.
